The best solution to cleaning grout is still an object of heated discussion. Some people will say that the marketed chemical solutions out in stores work. They will go through a number of branded products that say they will do most of the work of cleaning grout for them. Others go with home solutions, using trial and error to find the best one that works for them. The next paragraphs are some of the home-remedies I've tried, using found household materials, and have been proven to give decent results.
The simplest way to fight off grout stains between your tiles is an alcohol solution in a spritzer bottle. Buy a spray bottle available in all hardware stores and add in a solution of alcohol. Before spraying, make sure the area is dry. Then spray the mixture onto the tiles. A much stronger solution may be needed to clean off the worst dirty grout cases.
Another household solution to cleaning grout with a satisfactory result is baking soda. This is requires a bit more effort on your part, as it is more tedious, but will work pretty quick. Dampen the area to be cleaned, then sprinkle a bit of baking soda over it. Leave it alone for a few minutes. Then using an old toothbrush, scrub off the baking soda. This method requires a little more work, but the grout will be clean.
Another good household find is bleach. Although make sure your bathroom grout is not dyed. If you do your own laundry, too, then you will probably know that bleach may remove the coloring as well as the dirt. Mix equal parts of water and bleach and using a spray can, spray it onto the bathroom every night once the household is done using it. Leave it overnight. Results will be apparent one or two weeks of this, and afterwards, once a week is enough.
