Affordable health insurance is hard for many to afford. But for small business owners and the self employeed it is exspecially difficult. To many times they do not offer to the employees due to the cost. And even go uninsured theselves.

Are you a independent contractor? Maybe a mom working from a the basement of your home. Could you be a self starter running a small man operation that is growing fast?

It would be a financial risk to go without health insurance. No matter which of these people you are none should take that risk. If you had to take a day off for an illness could you afford to pay the bills for the doctor visit too. Probably not.

Each carrier makes plans to suit the majority needs so you are sure to find something to work for you.

Small group insurance can be affordable if the group os primarily healthy. But for a group with some health risk those rates can go through the roof. Making them very unaffordable. So talk to your group and decide if this is a good option.

If it is out of your budget consider list bills. Carriers can let each employee choose a different plan based on their needs and budget. you can offer the contribute a certain amount. the carrier send you one bill each month and you adjust payroll according to each choice.
